Our Fall Alumni Gathering saw the return of over 50 alumni who spanned a wide spectrum of graduating years! Mr. Ralph Arnold, a 1969 graduate of St. John High School hosted the evening with his wife, Christine, a 1968 graduate. Together they hosted a lovely casual dinner for returning alumni. Music was provided and display boards with students and school pictures of yesteryear surrounded the perimeter of the Portico and promoted the sharing of memories of old St. John School Days! A live streaming video keynoted some of the school's history juxtaposed with the activities and accomplishments of current St. John School students. Actual projects of our current students further provided a window into the success of today's students, faculty and curriculum!

Gala_2011

Our pre-Spring Second Annual Gala was a more formal evening honoring two Distinguished Alumnae, Mary Sinnott McCaffrey and Elizabeth Fisher Mathias. Bishop Mitchell Rozanski conferred the awards to our honorees and discussed the importance of Catholic education throughout the Archdiocese and how volunteers and alumni can make a difference!

Special thanks to Bishop Mitchell Rozanski; our Pastor, Monsignor James Farmer and the clergy of St. John who all attended! Our Principal, Mrs. Harriann Walker, and her faculty and staff were in attendance as well! Approximately 135 people attended the formal Gala including representatives from the Pastoral Council, Knights of Columbus, Archdiocesan Groups, and school families, local community businesses and professionals. The Gala was a fundraising opportunity garnering over $16,000 for school facility improvements! A Gourmet Venison dinner prepared by Fathers Farmer & Hector was auctioned that evening for $3,400!

Current Student Artwork and Projects were artfully displayed for attendees' enjoyment and a video presentation further keynoted our students' accomplishments along with key aspects of Saint John School's history throughout its 150+ years!
