Powerschool is a web-based student information system that keeps records of students’ grades, attendance, class schedules, and other pertinent information. Powerschool generates progress reports which are distributed three times a year to students in Grades 1-8.
Through Parent Access parents are able to view grades and assignments for students in Grades 3-8 at any time.
At the beginning of each school year at the Back-to-School PTF meeting, directions for opening a parent access account are given to parents of new students in Grades 4—8 and to parents of all 3rd graders. They are also given usernames and passwords at this time. These usernames and passwords are used to open parent access accounts. This is the only time they will be used. Parents will choose their own usernames and passwords which will be used once the accounts are opened.
Parent Access opens at the end of September. For the school year 2011-2012 it will be Monday, September 26. Parent Access closes for the summer about one week after the last day of school.
